Geographic DatabasesMaritime Simulation Institute's visual simulators, located at the Newport, RI, learning center use high resolution, high performance, and textured image visual geographic databases built by Maritime Simulation Institute's own database modeling group. Maritime Simulation Institute has the ability to build extremely realistic versions of any harbor or geographic location, whether it is one that now exists, is in development, or is just a concept of the future. Our staff modelers, using state-of-the-art modeling software, often construct a database to meet a client's specific requirements. Each database is configured with the visuals and exact hydrodynamic and environmental conditions found at the location being modeled. Mariners on the Maritime Simulation Institute staff and pilots or ships-masters familiar with the location validate every database. All of our databases include the following characteristics:
Partial List Of Existing Geographic DatabasesMaritime Simulation Institute may already have a geographic database for your desired location. If so, the time and cost of preparation and testing can be saved. In any case, an existing database can be modified or a new one created to your specifications. |
